Established in 1995 under the Bombay Public Charitable Trust Act and also registered under FCRA, CEDRA (Centre for Education Developmental Research and Action) is a modest attempt to reach out to the poor, downtrodden and oppressed citizens to envisage an equitable and balanced society. CENTRE FOR EDUCATION DEVELOPMENTAL RESEARCH AND ACTION (CEDRA) conducts necessary research to know the need of the community then organize various programs on education, health and livelihoods as an action followed by the surveys and research. CEDRA has implemented various projects for international organizations like HelpAge India, CAIRN India, Save the Children, Gujarat Quack Relief Coordination Committee (GQRCC), Holland and Indo-German Social Service Society, Germany along with Conducting Socio Economic Impact assessment, Impact evaluation, C M &E, Training and Capacity building programme on Micro Entrepreneurship Development (MED), SHGs, Cluster development, Gender, Health etc for government organizations like GWEDC, ICDS, GGRC, GEC , departments like Forest, Agriculture and international agencies like World Bank/IFAD, NORAD SAP India and IIM Ahmedabad.

Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work in this area, we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!

Over the Years the role and responsibilities of Civil Society Organisations or Non governmental Organisation (NGO) has increased to the holistic development of the society inclusive of Health ,Education,Livelihoods and Infrastructure. System and society believe that NGOs will deliver all these with balanced approach where all are treated equally and benefitted equally.
Keeping this in mind, with flexible and positive approach we are implementing various projects with the help of committed donors. During these years we have constructed a school for earthquake affected children with GQRCC, treated more than 30000 patient in free medical camps with Helpage and providing safe drinking water to village people with community based RO plants and distributed free school bags , prizes to school children in including plantation towards environment protection under Cairn India support.
