Established in 1995 under the Trust Act and also registered under FCRA, CEDRA (Centre for Education Developmental Research and Action) is a modest attempt to reach out to the poor, downtrodden and oppressed citizens to envisage an equitable and balanced society. To empower the masses through awareness generation on issues like, education, health, livelihood, and gender and child rights with community participation besides undertaking developmental activities for their enrichment by establishing linkages with Government’s, Non-Government Organization’s development programmes and through Natural Resource Management, is a cherished dream of CEDRA.
Empowerment of the weaker and oppressed sections of the society (especially the children, youths & women) by organizing them and providing a platform to voice their cause; Facilitate creation of local human and economic resources to manage local needs;
Facilitate interaction with other organizations working for similar cause;
Facilitate support in Natural Resource Development and Management;
Facilitate programmes in Health, Education, Environment and Joint Forest Management;
Organize programmes on Gender issues and sensitize the society towards the women / Girl child to promote Gender Equality.
Provide expertise to the organizations (GO or NGOs) implementing the development projects and Programmes for the benefit of the people/community in both urban and rural areas.

Conducted Socio Economic Impact assessment, Impact evaluation, C M &E, Socio- Economic Survey, Training and Capacity building programme on Micro Entrepreneurship Development (MED), SHGs, Cluster development, Gender, Health etc for government organizations like GWEDC, ICDS, GGRC, GEC , departments like Forest, Agriculture and international agencies like World Bank/IFAD, NORAD and SAP India.
Implemented various relief and development projects for international organizations like Save the Children, UK, Gujarat Quick Relief Coordination Committee (GQRCC) of Holland and Indo-German Social Service Society, Germany
